A Keyphrase should be a short phrase that brings to mind and helps to remember the information on this frame.
ことによる

due to (with modifying verb)

Verb + ことによる

This grammar point is used to indicate that a specific event or action is the cause of a result. It is a formal expression often used in writing or news to link a cause to its effect.

Verb (Informal) + ことによる + Noun

When a verb precedes ことによる, it turns the entire action into a noun phrase that acts as the cause for the following noun.

The health problems caused by eating too much.

The failure caused by a lack of practice.

Note

ことによる is the attributive form, meaning it must be followed by a noun that it modifies. If you want to end a sentence with this expression, use ことによります or ことによるものだ. This grammar point is more formal than using から or ので.
