だらけ

full of (e.g. mistakes), riddled with

covered all over with (blood, mud, etc.)

Noun + だらけ

The suffix だらけ is used to express that something is covered in or filled with something undesirable. It is attached directly to nouns and indicates a state where the surface or the entirety of an object is riddled with something negative or messy.

Attach だらけ directly to the noun representing the unwanted substance or item.

The shoes are covered in mud.

This letter is full of mistakes.

The room is full of dust.

Note

だらけ is almost exclusively used for negative or unpleasant things (like mud, mistakes, or blood). It cannot be used for positive things; for example, you cannot say 'happiness-darake'. It implies that the substance is physically covering the surface or is present in an excessive, messy quantity.
