Noun + に関して / に関する

This grammar point is used to express that something is related to or concerns a specific topic. It is often used in formal contexts like reports, news, or speeches.

Noun + に関して

Use に関して when you want to say 'about' or 'concerning' a topic to modify the action in the sentence.

I am researching Japanese history.

Noun + に関する + Noun

Use に関する when the grammar point directly modifies a noun that follows it.

Note

に関して is an adverbial form used to modify verbs or entire sentences. に関する is an adjectival form used specifically to modify a following noun. In casual conversation, について is more commonly used.
